York's 170 F Maximum/Minimum (170/170) control is the "guts" of your hot water heating system. It works with the temperature and pressure relief valves to prevent scalding (high-limit) and keeps the system safe from freezing (minimum). The 170/170 is rated at 175 F and has a reset button to temporarily remove it from service.
The Aube S1-025 is designed to protect the 170F Termination from improper Reverse Polarity connection. The Locking Lever prevents the switch from reaching the OFF Position; and thus preventing accidental disconnection when interconnected equipment is not properly aligned. The Standard Lever design provides an ON position when connected; and then Move to an OFF position automatically when disconnected. By providing a visual indication of circuit continuity, this Switch eliminates costly field service calls.
