Ignition Control

York's Ignition Control module works in conjunction with the central heating unit to allow the operator to remotely turn on and off the ignition control switch. When installed in an L-Jetronic engine, this ignition control allows the operator to start the car at any desired time or when required by specifying a start time in advance. This to improve starts when the ambient temperature is low, for example in early morning when it is still dark. It can also be used in markets where there are no traditional power points available for use in place of traditional starter batteries.

Designed for the every day rider, the S1-331 Ignition Control is engineered to work with most engines pre-1996. It includes a built-in rev limiter that will keep your engine from over revving at the higher RPMs, helping avoid damage to your engine. The ignition timing can be precisely controlled to provide maximum efficiency and performance of your machine.

This Ignition Control is designed for York furnaces with the following part numbers: YH19620, YH1962-0, YH021.

Once connected to your late-model Ford/Chevrolet/Chrysler vehicle, the York 1-Channel Ignition Control Module provides 1-button start capability for easy use. This ignition control is programmed for Ford, Ford SVO & Mercury vehicles that have the black/blue or black/white factory SVO wires. This control module will NOT work on any other application.

The York S1-331-01135-000 Ignition Control has a voltage and frequency precision and rapid response to fluctuations in frequency and voltage protections for sensitive loads.

Tests have shown that the ignition switch is the switch most often at the root of a fire. This is because it is usually left on when no power is being delivered to it. The York Ignition Control prevents this by disabling the ignition, which isolates the main power from the ignition control circuit! All of this without sacrificing your ability to crank your engine.
