Insulates and protects pipes from the damaging effects of freezing. Provides up to R-5.7 insulation and lasts twice as long as other pipe insulation (1/2" x 10 ft). Meets all applicable ASTM, BPI, NSF, UL and ULC standards for product safety.

The Zurn QQIS3 1/2" Insulator for 1/2" Nominal Tubing is suitable for insulating hot and cold water lines from freezing in locations where the average winter temperature stays above -20 degrees F. Insulated pipe should be installed so that a minimum of four (4) inches of exposed pipe remains above ground or the foundation wall. Insulating pipes reduces time spent thawing frozen pipe and repairs that are needed to restore service to the building in cases of frozen pipes, providing a safer alternative to heating pipes with open flames.

The 24 in. x 1/2 in. QQIS3 Copper Pipe Insulator from Ferguson is a replacement for lost or damaged pipe insulation.
