The Ruud RHEEM part number 232277 is a combination wiring kit that is designed to sense temperature in a furnace. The sensor measures five inches by one and half inch by one half inch and requires a 20-amp 277/480 volt circuit for installation.

The Thermostat Controlled Wiring Kit includes: SLC555N IC Temperature Sensor and TSOP4838 IC converts the sensor data into on-off switching signal suitable for input into the Rheem digital-C control.

The universal multipurpose sensor interfaces with select Rheem/Ruud boilers and gas fired water heater models to allow programming of the selected heating system for varying outdoor temperatures. Connects between the boiler output line and the heating system input to measure the output temperature of the boiler or water heater.

The RTG Controller senses the outside air temperature. If the outdoor temperature is between 45 and 104 F, the RTG will provide cooling above 45 F ambient. The RTG Controller monitors the outdoor air temperature. Once the temperature drops below 60F, the controller turns off the compressor until the outdoor temperature is between 45 and 104 F again. Once temperatures drop below 45 F, heating is provided through electrical resistors on indoor units.
