The Baldwin 0103003 0103 003 Colonial Knocker features the Observ-O-Scope mounted above the door knocker which plays a recorded message when activated. The unit is designed for easy installation and has an adjustable volume control. Also, this exclusive knocker includes a self-amplifying sound chamber to enhance the volume of the recorded message.

This new Colonial knocker features a single 6" cast brass ring as the knob and faceplate, adorned with a protruding obsidian glass crystal. The OBSERV-O-SCOPE is a patented glass lens that slips over the Colonial knocker for further viewing pleasure. Both items are permanently mounted on a solid wood base. The classic Baldwin colonials with delightful Knocker faceplates featuring the ever wacky Obser-V-O-Scope, a clear plexiglass tube on which miniature crescent moons are mounted. The moons revolve around two celestial bodies (painted planets). As they move in front of the tube's holes, the knocker sees different phases of the moon and the planets and thus works out his cosmic perplexities.

With an o-scope to check for tummy tucks, a candlestick holder on the lintel, and a vintage return knocker, this Colonial looks right off the page in a Anne Hathaway movie. The full mortise lock comes complete with both house and key. The bronze finish on this door hardware is an antique reproduction. And as a special bonus feature, the door-mounted observ-o-scope has been constructed to look like a large magnifying glass.

The Baldwin 0103-003 Baldwin Observation Door Knocker is constructed of solid brass and features a rounded face with a traditional pattern. Its back plate measures 2 1/8" (54mm) in diameter, its mounting cup is 1 5/16" (30mm) in diameter, and the screw bore measures 3/4" (19 mm). This Colonial Knocker is recommended for door thicknesses of 1 1/2" to 1 3/4".
