To replace a base pan in your refrigerator, you must remove the appliance's toe-kick plate or kick plate. Use a screwdriver to turn the locking screws counterclockwise, and then pull the plates out of the bottom of the refrigerator, and remove any adhesive and old gasket material from the pan with a putty knife.
