You can depend on the 1-year limited warranty provided with this Air Pressure Switch for Amana and Goodman Heat Pump equipment. Installers may also find videos that highlight installation specifics and key product features.
The Air Pressure Switch is built for residential air conditioners and furnaces to sense pressure from the system. It helps to turn the system on when there is a drop in pressure or off when there is a rise in pressure. This switch requires two to three minutes to start.
The Amana 164145 Air Pressure Switch fits some Amana, Crosley and Kenmore gas, electric wall and floor furnaces. This air pressure switch is not made by the OEM but is manufactured in an ISO 9000 certified factory to meet or exceed OEM specifications.
This Air Pressure switch is used on select Amana gas furnaces. The switch is designed to cut off electrical power to the furnace blower motor when the correct pressure level has been reached.
The Air Pressure Switch (PS) protects the furnace blower motor from being damaged due to improper air pressure (too low or too high).
Why buy a new air conditioner when it only costs a few dollars to replace the air pressure switch? The air pressure switch controls the compressor. The pressure switch opens when the air pressure reaches a certain level within the system. It is also known as an auxillary relay, ac pressure switch, and 134c switch.
Your air pressure switch is responsible for monitoring the air pressure in your system. If your air pressure switch goes bad, the furnace will stop working.
