This Baldwin 0322112 0322 112 Surface Bolt has a heavy-duty zinc coating that provides extra corrosion and scuff resistance. It is made of 316 stainless steel to protect against rust, pitting, and scaling, even in the most extreme marine environments. This bolt means the difference between a secure connection and an unsafe one.

The Baldwin 0322112 Surface bolt (4" long) is designed to pass through the solid material of the door jamb for installation.

Baldwin Surface Bolts are used primarily on wood-frame wall systems. These screws feature a round head that is fully self-drilling for ease of installation into dry, soft or hard wood surfaces as well as plywood, oriented strand board (OSB) and particleboard. They also have a square shank with a rounded thread end that is designed to expand the wood's grain to ensure maximum holding power. This is accomplished without the use of a pilot hole.

The surface bolt has no visible head once it is seated in the assembly. The body and internal mechanism are concealed by the counter nut.
