The Tekmar Snow/Ice Sensor SS65-090 is equipped with a 6" probe and 65' cable that provides an accurate reading for depths up to 3/4" of snow or ice, the magic number to prevent unwanted icing or heavy snow pack in the field. The Tekmar® Snow/Ice Sensor 65' Wire uses a photoelectric sensing cell to detect falling snow, sleet or freezing rain. Units with this type of sensor are units are typically the most accurate and reliable in the industry. The sensor is housed in a ¾” NPT pipe which is pivoted to allow detection of both horizontal and vertical snow fall.

Our Automatic Snow and Ice Sensor installs easily on roofs as low as 4:12 pitch. The durable die-cast aluminum sensor with over 10,000 foot power cable transmits a trouble free "Off" signal when the wire melts because the temperature drops below 28°F. The Self checking internal relay triggers the output which is rated for 120 Amps. Temperature range is 0°F to 140°F

The TEKMAR Snow/Ice Sensor includes a cable that runs from your tractor's PTO, to the plow's sensor. The wire picks up the signal and transmits it to the plow where it controls the blinking LED strip, as well as helps to regulate the hydraulics of the plow. The control box has all of the electronics in it that monitor the pressure of the hydraulic system.

This new Antenna Mounted Sensor System, with its detachable sensing head, allows you to select your specific snow & ice removal needs while operating off a common cable that can handle a full 65 foot reach.  This product is designed specifically for heavy commercial and industrial applications.

The Tekmar Snow/Ice Sensor has been designed to activate drip systems when the ground temperature reaches freezing. The sensor will not turn off the system when ice forms at night. .
