The Amana 0.55""PF Pressure Switch is a pressure switch used in Gas Range appliances. The purpose of the pressure switch is to cut off the gas supply to the burners and ignition system at approximately .55"" of water column or 14 psig. It is located behind the knobs on the control panel and there are no wires attached to it.

The 0.55'' Pressure Switch is an adjustable pressure-operated control device used to switch a useful electrical circuit on or off when the air pressure around the sensing diaphragm reaches a predetermined value. The switch is contained in a steel housing assembled with brass and stainless steel hardware.

Description: SPST Solid State Pressure Switches are a self contained pressure sensing switch assembly that is continuously monitored by the SSR for pressure change or gas flow. The switches have an internal "wetted" stainless steel diaphragm that seals off the chamber in the presence of vacuum or pressure to ground and an internal "floating" sensing element that responds to the pressure differential across the device. The sensing element is capable of handling very high velocities depending on the gas characteristics.
