In the Single-Pole/Double-Throw (SPDT) position the contact will be On when the switch is On and Off when the switch is Off. In the Double-Pole/Single-Throw (DPST) position, the common terminal will be Off when either or both of the other terminals are On. In a DPST switch, one terminal must always be connected to either hot lead or neutral for current to flow through to the load. As with all SPDT switches, switches controlled by pushbuttons in this series must be wired so that pressure on the pushbutton makes contact.

SPDT 24/120/208/240 VAC SINGLE STAG

This device has a normally closed contact (NC), a normally open contact (NO) and a common contact (COM). It is used to control one load up to 24 amps at 120 VAC, or one load up to 12 amps at 240 VAC. The SPDT switch is momentary type, with an 0.17? (4.3 mm) long travel. Useful in applications such as garage door openers and security systems. This device may be installed on a DIN rail using the optional white-rodgers mounting kit: part number 32-06101-01.

It also provides overload protection and includes a manual bypass feature so that power can be manually transferred between sources.
