These electrodes use a natural gas design and come complete with all necessary gas line quick connect fittings. They can be used for both hot and cold water applications and are suitable for use with all LP-Gas or natural gas.

The Model 17983 2SL-60 Pilot Electrode Assembly (Part Number 80-1470) is of a non-resettable design. The electrodes are designed to limit the main electrode voltage to 60 volts DC and to act as an interrupter in the event that current surges exceed the primary fuse or motor protective circuit breaker.

The Robertshaw 17983 Pilot Electrode Assembly is used with the Robertshaw 2ES-60 heater and is for natural gas. This pilot electrode is sold individually.

Pilot Electrode Assembly, 3-hole probe, 60'' lead length, 1/4''NPT threads, for use with 17983 or 17984 tank assembly.

A pilot electrode is used to form a path for electric current to flow through the water. The assembled pilot electrode utilizes a stainless steel liner that transmits electricity to the water. The electrode assembly also has a ceramic insulator, plastic insulator and rubber boots that protect the metal parts of the electrodes from weathering and corrosion.
