The Bell and Gossett Lead Free Bearing Assembly is manufactured from a combination of SAE 1045 and SAE 4130 alloy steel, heat treated for maximum hardness and flexibility. The Self-Lube bushing is sealed with an inner Dacromet retaining ring. The retainer ring minimizes the surface area in contact with the oil as a means of reducing the "heel" effect. This design allows for smooth pump operation and extended bearing life.
