Target Assembly Flame Spreader, This Target Assembly is used on a number of Nordyne Model Furnaces. These parts are not interchangeable with the other brands of furnaces, however, they may fit other furnace models manufactured by Nordyne.

The Big Green Egg comes with a target assembly flame spreader by default. The flame spreader shields the ceramic dome from drafts. It is designed to concentrate the flame evenly over the dome for even cooking. This black component is meant to be left in place and not removed during use.
