BOARD MOUNT LIMIT 1/2" BIMETAL DISC

This White-Rodgers limit switch is specifically designed for board mount applications. This limit switch features a bimetal disc, 220°F open and 180°F close. The 1/2" NPT female inlet allows you to easily connect the flow of hot water or steam to this switch. The white color will allow it to blend into any applicaiton.

This board mount limit control will allow you to set a maximum on/off temperature to protect against overheating in your system. This limit control is for use with 1/2" bimetal disc only.

WHITE-RODGERS 98293 220°F OPEN - 180°F CLOSE BOARD MOUNT 1/2" BIMETAL DISC LIMIT CONTROL WITH KEY SWITCH Having an open lead to the load side of the heating element, these limit controls are normally used to turn on a load device when a set temperature is reached. The limit control includes a single rod and bi-metal disc assembly, dual pole key switch and terminal block assembly.

The Bimetal Limit Switch is designed to trip on a variety of conditions. A bimetal disc is partially enclosed in two metal cases having different coefficients of thermal expansion. The disc expands when heated and contracts when cooled. The switch operates as follows: When the disc becomes hot, the faster cooling case moves away from the slower heating case, causing the disc to bend and making contact between the contacts. When the disc cools, it will return to its normal position, breaking contact with the contacts.
