The Mini Hot Surface Furnace Ignitor screws into your furnace's burner head. It has a high-resistance trip arm that breaks the circuit at approximately 600 F (330 C). The slot is designed to light the lower tungsten filament slightly before the main burner fires. This compensates for a cold furnace or low natural gas pressure.
