Sequencing Relay provides for three levels of power control when both entering or exiting a standby state. The series circuit is de-energized, then the branch circuit is de-energized, and finally the 3rd circuit energizes.

It allows for precisely timed compressor operation, with up to 100% of refrigeration capacity available at any time, and with a minimum refrigeration demand on the compressor.

A Sequencing Relay from RHEEM Controls is part of a programmable relay system designed for use with gas, electric and heat pump water heater applications. It has 4 relays that allow you to configure the control as any one of 10 different modes. Choose one of four time periods in which to energize the low temperature heating element and sequentially energize two high temperature heating elements.

The Sequencing Relay is used to control the start-up and sequencing of electric water heaters, furnaces, and other electrically operated devices in an air conditioning, heating, or refrigeration system.

A Sequencing Relay is used to control a delayed heating device such as an auxiliary boiler, under-floor heating, or water heater. The relay will turn the unneeded device off for half a cycle (using it's minimum time), then turn it on after a period of time.

The RHEEM 42-23116-0 Sequencing Relay is a special type of relay used, in conjunction with a gas valve to control an entire system. It has four outputs, each capable of carrying up to 15A at 120VAC. Controls 15 Amps total. The contacts are rated for 250 VAC, 10A resistive, and 3A inductive. It will protect the furnace and other components from short circuiting or voltages over 100VAC.

The RHEEM 42-23116-0 sequencing control relay is a 2 pole 5 amp 240 volt AC coil relay. This relay is designed to control the motor in an electric water heater, and can be paralleled with additional relays (sold separately) to provide more hot water.
