208/230-24V 100VA Transfomer

The Protech 173792 is a 208/230-24V, 600w, 100VA transformer. The transformer can be used to safely step the voltage down from a 208/230-24V supply or raise it up from a 208/230-24V to provide over 600W of power.

This 208/230-Volt 100VA Transformer is designed for use with RHEEM and RUUD water heaters to replace the OEM factory installed transformer. Can also be used as a replacement for broken or damaged transformers of other brands of water heaters.

In the power industry, a Transformer converts primary voltage to a lower secondary voltage with little or no loss. While this Rheem 173792/Protech Transformer is designed for 208/230-24V circuits, it's also suitable for any primary voltage up to 550 volts. The molded case features plug-in terminals.

The TR-208/230/24V transformer complies with NEMA B-622 and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) C22.2 No. 21-95 standards. It is suitable for use on the following old style Rheem and Ruud indoor units:
