The 47-2 Mechanical Feeder is designed to automatically feed steam and hot water to the machine.

Mechanical Feeders are used on most steam and hot water central heating systems to ensure even and efficient boiler heating. Acts as a simple, effective means of controlling the firing rate of the central heating boiler in both solid-fuel and oil-fired boilers.

The 47-2 Mechanical Steam and Hot Water Feeder is designed to attach to steam and hot water pipes in the plant. An example would be attaching to the steam heat pipes on the second or third floor of a multi-storied building. The feeder should be located at the end of the steam or hot water piping so that the entire piping run may be utilized. The feeder is designed to deliver steam or hot water under pressure at a regulated rate without any erratic flow rate fluctuations. (Example - if you are supplying steam to multiple rooms, just turn on one burner.)

The 47-2 is a heavy duty mechanical feeder with the ability to feed up to 10 pounds of steam or hot water per minute. The feeder can operate continuously at 10 pounds per minute or in bursts up to 40 pounds per minute. Three starting volume settings are factory set for maximum flexibility.

The 47-2 series mechanical feeder is a steam or hot water feeding system commonly used on the top floor of multiple deck plants. These feeders are designed for high, intermittent loads with good discharge accuracy. The 47-2 can be used for both batch and continuous discharging applications.

The Miller 47-2 Feeder was designed to dispense steam and hot water with pressurized hot water up to 33 PSI/238 kPa. The feeder is constructed of carbon steel and utilizes a spring loaded valve so that integral steam pressure is used to force the paper through the machine.

McDonnell & Miller's 47-2 is a full-feature electronic, programmable machine that loads the steam and hot water supply lines with a spring-loaded, fast closing door. It is fitted with a cast iron steam nozzle mounting plate and includes four 55mm stainless steel nozzles; one of which has been ground to fit the 15mm tube on each boiler.
