Limit Switch - Auto Reset (HALC)

The RHEEM Ruud Heat Pump Limit Switch - 47-22860-05 SPST N/C A/R Limit switch has a Built in Auto-Reset (HALC). This switch is an auto-reset, spst (single pole single throw) contactor style switch that is designed to work as a limit switch.

The Limit Switch - Auto Reset (BQC) is used with the 0360A and 0561A Auto/Manual electric water heater thermostats to control the two primary elements in the electric heating circuit. This switch has a built-in shunt trip assembly that serves as a built-in check valve when the switch is not in the Limit position and, upon demand, opens to allow any backup of hot water to flow into a drain line.

The Limit Switch - Auto Reset is used to trip and reset a circuit when a predetermined temperature level has been reached. The SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) switch will trip within 5 seconds of reaching 105 Degrees C (221 Degrees F). The automatic reset feature will automatically reset the switch once the temperature drops to below 85 Degrees C (185 Degrees F).
