This product is a Genuine BRIGHTHOWSE Limit Switch for electric water heater applications that have a board mount. The automatic reset model will stop the water flow when tripped and will reset automatically when the preset water temperature is reached once again, to conserve energy use.

The Auto Reset feature allows the unit to reset itself after a power failure or other interruption to the electrical supply. This is also called a "Time Delay". This is an external feature that has been added to a relay/contactor.  The majority of contractors, electricians and integrators prefer to wire their own limit switches directly into their control boards, rather than purchasing one with Auto Reset built in.

Simply plug in this 120-VAC (10-Amp) limit switch and install the mounting screw to get it up and running. When your board is too hot or too cold, it will automatically turn off power to the compressor. When temperatures return to normal, the limit switch will automatically reset.
