The Carrier 296299 Fan Plate is used to replace the fan plate for the model number listed below. The fan plate kit includes the fan plate. This part is for use with gas furnaces that require a metal heat exchanger. Use with a compatible access panel, which is sold separately.

The Carrier A/C Fan Plate is for use with the following models manufactured by C A Parker Co:

This Carrier-approved replacement control fan plate allows for quick and easy installation and is ideal for applications where a serviceable assembly is impractical or not possible. This fan plate includes all of the components to convert an existing heating and cooling system between gas, oil, and electric. Conversion kits include components required to convert the blower motor between 115 VAC and 230 VAC.

All Carrier Fans are equipped with a temperature-limiting device (overload protector). If abnormal operation occurs, the temperature-limiting device will trip and shut down the unit. Allow unit to cool, then reset by turning power switch OFF then ON. Do NOT remove or bypass the temperature-limiting device. Bypassing this device could result in loss of life or serious property damage if used in a residence.
