The privacy button simply screws into place on the spout and prevents the knob from turning, making it impossible to turn on your faucet without a knob.

The Baldwin privacy knob for knobs series 5510100 is made of pin-tumbler lock technology and resistant to tampering and picking.

This privacy button for knob is used to cover up the action of a lever-type latchbolt that will be released via a privacy lock. One side of the privacy cover fits inside the core door knob while the other side has a bigger dimension so it covers up the latchbolt when needed.
