The Discal Air Separator 1-1/4" NPT is used to prevent water hammer in drainage applications that call for air pressure to be maintained between the air pump and the pump discharge header. Protective casing will not allow entrance of foreign matter and will not obstruct flow through unit. P trap mount with tailpiece and air vent threads on opposite end.

This wire-wrapped, high-grade aluminum body rotates and tilts with a 7/16" BSP connection size. This Discal Air Separator P1KR 1-1/4" NPT features a temperature range of -65 to 230°C (-85 to 1416°F), a vacuum range of 0 to 400 mmHg (-409 to 32.45 kPa), and 0 to 1 bar (0 to 10 kPa) gauge pressure.

The Discal Air Separator can be fitted to any refrigeration system header to provide for the venting of air and vapour. It provides a safe vented discharge, in order to prevent refrigerant or condensate back flowing to the compressor, and also acts as a check valve.

The Discal Air Separator is utilized to separate air from the product being pumped, including natural gas, LPG, biogas, and any other gas that is contaminated with water vapor. It can be used with either single or three phase pumps prior to the metering device for the application of negative pressure on liquids. It avoids accumulation of gas produced condensate in the suction pipe before being discharged from the tank.
