The Flame Sensor (OFB11) is a safety device designed for open fireplace applications. The Flame Sensor automatically shuts off the gas supply in the event the flame goes out.
The Nordyne 632484R Flame Sensor is a replacement flame sensor which fits on the fuel valve of a furnace, continues to monitor and report site conditions in order to safeguard equipment and life.
Replace your flame sensor and learn how to do it yourself. Replace the sensor that fits into the burner assembly of older Nordyne/Nordyne-Ventilation products, including: -Replaces product numbers 632484R and 632484C -Sensor section only for use with 052327-00 -Heat and flame sensing device designed to detect presence of gas or natural fuels
This sensor is used in gas fireplaces. The flame switch is turned on and off by a pilot light. When the flame goes out, the switch turns off the flow of gas to that burner or fireplace, preventing a flare up. This product features: Flame sensor – senses presence of flame Uses AC power 120V Reversible Mounting Bracket (10-32 X 1/4-Inch machine screws) Dual Sensitivity Adjustment Switch Straight-through wire connectors 3/8-inch diameter
The Sensordyne Flame Sensor was designed to utilize the latest technologies and features to protect your boiler equipment. The silicone-lined sensor housing protects the internal circuitry from harsh chemical attacks typically found in gas-fired boilers.
Protect your home and family with the SENSOR Flame Detector, which detects dangerous, unseen flame in your garage, basement or other areas where you can’t see if a fire is raging. The SENSOR uses advanced optical sensing technology to detect any temperature from 434°F to 932°F. If an invisible flame is detected, it primes itself to sound an alarm through its 85-dB horn and flashing light once it has cooled.
This is a simple flame sensor I am using to control my gas BBQ. It does not have an automatic shutdown, and as such should only be used in ventilated areas.
