FLOAT TYPE LWCO FOR STEAM (MILLIVOL
This float type LWCO for steam (millivolt) is designed for use with a DGD, DGE, or DG circuits in the caution and shutdown relay of all steam generators in the boiling water, pressurized water and combined cycle plants.
The Float-type condensate level control (LWCO) for steam serves as a primary or secondary steam trap within the process piping system. The Float-type LWCO is designed to monitor condensate levels in steam and hot water pipes in applications where steam or hot water equilibrates with other fluids, e.g., glycols, de-ionized water, and refrigerant systems.
McDonnell & Miller 4038 Float Type Low Water Cut-Off Valve (Millivolt) --- Versatile low water cut-off valve used on steam and high pressure hot water heating systems. This valve is used for controlling flow of steam or water to the heating system in order to protect the boiler from over firing and possible failure.
See the Float Type LWCO is ideal where a quick discharge of steam and hot water at set temperatures is required, such as in electric power plants to remove the voltage on boilers. This new type of float type LWC0 is especially desirable in marine installations, particularly for vertical boiler arrangements.
The 4038 Float Type Pendulum Level Indicator (LWCO) for Steam detects and indicates level in steam, condensate and live water lines. With a scale range of 6" to 36" (150 mm - 900 mm) the 4038 is ideally suited for use on steam or live water lines from 1/2" to 30" (12 mm - 1200 mm) in nominal diameter.
This float type low water cut off for steam is a direct replacement for the 40245 4037-01 and 40375. If it is worn, leaking from the body or valve seat it should be replaced to prevent damage to the system.
The Float Type Low Water Cut-Off (LWCO) control allows you to regulate the amount of water trapped in the steam boiler when it is not needed. This is useful during periods of light loads and can be used for peak shaving, as well as for reducing the time needed for boiler refilling.
