The flame sensor is a self-contained, battery-operated unit that provides two functions: sensing and signaling. The sensing element generates an open-circuit signal (0 V to 24 V) proportional to the level of the flame. The signal is then transmitted via an internal transmitter to the receiver and then relayed to the control panel.
Flame Sensor For HSI (Hot Surface Ignition) Systems. Two Inch x Two Inch Square Flame Sensor Enclosure, White Housing, With 6-Inch Long Screw Terminals. For use with White-Rodgers Models 20F and 20FG(C) Fireplace Blowers. Flame Sensor For HSI (Hot Surface Ignition) Systems.
The Flame Sensor for Hot Surface Ignition (HSI) Systems from WHITE-RODGERS is a round device with a flange which provides remote flame detection. Flame Sensors are used with HSI systems to detect the presence of a flame and to shut down the gas supply when ignition occurs, thus eliminating the risk of explosion due to gas leakage. The 20" pigtail allows quick connection & disconnection of the sensor.

Used in conjunction with a room thermostat, the Flame Sensor monitors and controls radiant heating systems. A Flame Sensor can be used to monitor open flames, such as candle wax, incandescent lights, and space heaters (in addition to wood or gas stoves). This sensor is designed for single- or multiple-zone radiant heating systems and will trip when exposed to temperatures between 600°F (315°C) and 1,200°F (650°C).
Introducing the White-Rodgers Flame Sensor, specifically designed to enhance Washington Gas' HSI system. With its high quality components and innovative design, the Flame Sensor improves safety by reducing the risk of gas leaks due to main burner flame failure.
The Flame Sensor for Hot Surface Ignition (HSI) Systems is used for the detection of gas flames in HSI (Hot Surface Ignition) gas-fired appliances. Like the Flame Sensor for Conventional Ignition Systems, a flame must be present at the sensor location to energize the Flame Sensor. The sensor is factory preset to a specific sensitivity that may be adjusted as necessary by an appropriately trained and qualified technician.
Flame sensor is a heat-activated device that provides fire protection for gas appliances. The flame sensor detects the presence of flame and sends a signal to the control system when flame is detected. Flame sensors are available with standard lead wires or quick connect terminals.
The Flame Sensor for Hot Surface Ignition (HSI) Systems is easy to install and replace. It comes with the flame sensor, mounting bracket and wiring harness for ease of installation. The Flame Sensor for Hot Surface Ignition (HSI) Systems can be used on a variety of gas fireplace models from manufacturers such as Heat & Glo, Dimplex, FireMagic, and many more.
