This HOT Surface Ignitor is used on GEM® Burners, Emerson Gas Management Products and DAYTON® Burners. It is used to ignite the gas when you turn on the valve at the LP tank. The ignitor senses the temperature of a red-hot surface on the burner tip or pilot burner, then trips open its internal contact to interrupt power to the unit.
