This classic black exterior is matched by the lock's full metal body. The windows of the 8097 190 lock allow the user to easily see when the deadbolt is extended, as well as the lock status. Baldwin's 8097 190 has a security rating of Grade 2 (backset 2-3/8", jamb thickness 1-3/8" and 3-1/6").

Baldwin's cylindrical lock collars and spacers secure deadbolts, doorknob locks, and cam locks to the bolt carrier regardless of the bolt position, since some applications issue in parts being unable to lock when the bolts are retracted. The lock collar or spacer is placed between the endhousing and the bolt carrier before assembly.
