The Baldwin 8323 1.25 inch Mortise Cylinder key is C series and was part of the 8323033 mortise cylinder sets which were used on various models of Baldwin, Ademco, Schlage, Weslock & Yale padlocks, hasps and deadbolts made between 1957-1987's. The Baldwins came in some Brass as well as Nickel plated (8323 053) versions – this thing that you see here is a brass version with no keeper pin or stop collar to go inside the lock.

The unusual keyway geometry, C shaped at the end allows access to mortise cylinders from several directions so it will fit a lock without a keyway.
