This replacement thermostat is designed for use with the A.O. Smith Multi-Vi Built In Electric Water Heater (EFW) Model WH9. It is for use with natural gas models only. This kit contains a thermostat, a control knob and cover.

This TSTAT replaces the A.O. Smith models 9000507015 12008968 900–3. The A.O. Smith Gas Range Textbook, 5th Edition, states that this control is the same one as a Thermador JXZ8422 thermocouple control (p 58, Fig 10–13) and the Whirlpool Part Number 900–3 is a suitable replacement for several other Thermador and some Whirlpool models.

Designed to be much more than a surface mounted pressure activated safety switch, the truly integrated WH9 will perform in temperatures ranging below 0° to 176° F (below 30° C) without any loss of performance. The WH9 features a compact design and allows for electrical connection up to 3’ on center in either direction.
