The Nordyne 903473 903473 R4GA 045 HTEXCH R4GA 045 HTEXCH is a type of gas furnace that offers two safety shutoff systems. The first is built into the shutoff device. This can be used to stop gas flow to the burner in the event that you forget to turn off your furnace. The second safety shutoff system is built into the control box itself. If there is an electrical failure or a problem with the thermostat, this shuts off power to the valves and pilot assembly, preventing an explosion if any gas does leak out of the furnace in these situations.
