The AMTROL 102426 1/4" MPS FLOAT TYPE AIR VENT FOR HVAC SYSTEMS 150 is designed to operate pressure balancing devices, demand valves, flow dampers, check valves, device vents. The 1/4" Float Type Air Vent for HVAC Systems 150 includes a 1/4" MPT x 1/8 barb reducing fitting.

The 1/4" Float Type Air Vent 150 has a maximum venting capacity of 1120000 BTU per hour. It can also be used in outdoor and indoor HVAC systems.

The 1/4" float type Atmospheric vent is commonly used in HVAC and refrigeration. The float type vents open and close by circulating the gas pressure with a balanced spring loaded check, which makes the vent more precise and allows it to work in either vertical or horizontal applications. When opened, the balanced check forces the top plate of the float to remain level at all times, creating a tight seal that prevents outside air from flowing into the system. This helps to maintain proper refrigeration temperatures and helps keep moisture from entering your home or commercial building through exhaust ducts.
