KIT TINNED COPPER LUGS

The ANCOR639-255101 KIT TINNED COPPER LUGS (639-255101) provides a repair for a broken or damaged tail light wiring harness. Tail light wiring harnesses are used to connect the tail lights and turn signal lights to the vehicle's electrical system. A broken or shorted wiring harness will cause excessive heat buildup that can melt the solder and damage the electronic components on the lamp cluster and possibly cause a fire hazard.

No matter what you are building, these TINNED COPPER LUGS will keep your wiring running smooth. No electrolysis, no tarnished connectors, and no corrosion here! Each kit comes with a 4 ft length of 20 AWG wire and are lugs for the ends.

ANCOR's series of custom tinned copper lugs now include wire terminations! This kit consists of 24 22 awg bare wire leads with Duragold bullet terminals attached. Simply remove the bullet, strip off a small section of insulation and bolt on your lug. To further customize the wire length, cut to an appropriate length using wire cutters and lock the segment in place by crimping with a pair of pliers.

The technical requirements for this process demand that contact points produced as "tinned" continue to be protected from further oxidation after soldering with a thin layer of tin plating. Puncturing or scoring the surface of an interior layer to allow oxygen to pass directly into the metal core produces a porous conductor material incapable of conducting electricity
