A solenoid valve with a 1/4"" male NPT, 3/8"" ori external threads, normally closed, 0-15 pound output rating, installed in air or gas lines.

This solenoid gas valve includes a 2" un-swaged 1/4" NPT port and an inner air/gas port. The air/gas ports (one is for the pilot) are threaded 3/8"" orifices and both will accept 0-15# air/gas pressure. Hard copper line required to connect to the pilot supply line.

The 3/8" Solenoid gas valve is a Normally Closed (N.C.) pilot operated device that modulates the amount of gas used based on the position of the solenoid portion of the valve. The flow ranges from 0-15LB/HR. It has high and Low pressure monitoring to help prevent over and under pressurizing systems, Threaded elbow ports that accommodate hose fittings with 1/4" NPT male pipe threads, An integrated "kickstand" support tab, The solenoid portion of the valve is entirely self contained, shows zero leakage, and can be tested by operating

The normally closed solenoid is used for both low and high pressures, as well as fuel/vapor service classifications. The valve body is made with brass construction and a stainless steel shut-off seat and disc that provide long life of the components.

The 8040H7 Solenoid Valve is a 1/4" NPT normally closed valve designed for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. The normally-open position supplies gas to the burner; when the input is turned off, the valve closes to shut off gas from the burner. This type valve has many applications including: Natural gas or propane with natural gas generator, Natural gas or propane with tankless water heater, Pipe heating and process, Hot water circulation booster, Heat loss reduction on forced air heating systems.

The ASCO 1/4" x 3/8" Solenoid Gas Valve 8040H7 is used on natural gas based heating systems. The shutoff mechanism is normally closed and secured using an Allen wrench to maintain the valve's tight seal.
