The ASCO #8221G3 Power Technologies 1/2" x 9/16" Slow Closing Solenoid Valve, Normally Closed features a normally closed configuration, and is designed for use with liquids. This valve includes stainless steel construction for long lasting durability, and seals by means of continuous spring force, operating pressure range of 40-150 psi.

The slow close solenoid valve features a normally closed, fully assembled anodized aluminum body with internal threaded to flange. The piston is made of stainless steel. A pressure rating of 200 PSI (with stainless steel packing) and 325 PSI (with brass packing) can be ordered to meet special requirements.

The ASCO 8221G3 Slow Closing Solenoid Valve is specifically designed for rugged demanding applications that require slow close function. It is suitable for use on gravity fed and pressurized systems and have a wide variety of uses in many industries with high mechanical loads, such as water supply systems or HVAC systems. The ASCO 1/2"" N/C Normally Closed Solenoid Valve is for use with industrial and commercial water pressure reducing systems. It features thermostatic control and a five-minute timer, which allows light, frequent water use to operate continuously.

The 8221G3 Power Technologies slow closing solenoid valve is self-contained and mounted in a switchboard control panel for the various applications. It automatically controls the flow of fluid from the main stop and pressure relief valves used for manually operated ball, butterfly, gate or globe valves. The 8221G3 controls the flow of water, air, steam, coolant or any other liquid during the regulating and main pressure control applications
