Cogs & Commissars is a board game of economic cyberpunk intrigue by legendary game designer Richard Garfield. Players compete to win the favor of five megacorporations while sabotaging their rivals' multi-million dollar operations. Players take on the role of a cog: either a lowly cog tasked with performing menial tasks or a commissar who has been placed in charge of overseeing these cogs. Each player receives annual payment in the form of coins from their corporation and can use these coins to purchase power cards that give them special abilities or otherwise manipulate the game.

Cogs & Commissars is a strategy board game based on the Russian Civil War in which two players, who each command a side of the Red and White armies, take turns moving their pieces across the battlefield. The game offers different weapons to fight with including infantry, cavalry, machine guns and tanks. The goal of the game is to occupy as much territory as possible with your army while capturing enemy units. All units can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness - but at a cost!
