The AMANA FRONT IGNITION 166971 Flame Sensor is an upgraded replacement for Amana front ignition furnaces. The furnace flame sensor should be replaced every 2 to 5 years. The sensor is located at the lower right hand corner of the fire box assembly and it prevents the gas flow to the burner if there is no flame.
