The Bard HVAC 8620-038 Intermittent Pilot Assembly is specifically designed for use with "Closed Loop" gas HVAC systems. This simple assembly replaces the existing intermittent pilot and provides constant pilot flame operation. In certain types of applications, such as in DDC, sleep mode, or lockout, this assembly is able to provide constant pilot flame operation even when the gas valve is off. This allows for the flame to automatically be lit if the gas valve ever starts leaking or is disconnected from the system altogether.
