The 51442 is a dual-check vacuum breaker. It is designed to prevent backflow of clear fluids as well as vacuum, and can be installed in both horizontal and vertical piping. The vacuum breaker body has 2 check valves that must close separately to shut off flow. As an added safety precaution, the vacuum breaker body is constructed of stainless steel for corrosion resistance in humid conditions.
