Rod housing is a pilot assembly that mounts directly to the outdoor wall and controls the amount of refrigerant used in the system. Pilot assemblies have a small hole in them for a thermocouple probe. This pilot assembly has two 1/8" NPT threads for easy connection to a pig tail or quick connector.
