A split taper sheave allows a single sheave to be used for two different diameter belts. This particular sheave has been crafted from heavy duty cast iron and features a 1" groove with set screws that can be tightened in place to hold the belt firmly in position. Overall height of this sheave is 7.68". The grooved portion is 2.96" in width by 7.48" long; the edge of the sheaves overall length from each end of the groove is 2.95" long, and an overall outer width of 8.69".

Browning split taper sheave is an economical sheave designed for operating use in any type of fluid transmission line when the belt runs under load. As an accessory to Browning belt drives, Browning sheaves are available in a number of sizes spaced to interchange with most other manufacturers standard or split taper or spiral bevel sheaves. This sheave is made of corrosion resistant cast iron material and available with either 1, 2 or 5 slips, it also has a hexagonal bore that will grip all split taper belts up to .035"" wide.

This sheave is made to fit on any standard 7/8"" or 1"" external diameter shaft. The split design allows for easier installation and removal of the drive belts, as well as providing a built in safety feature. Note: Maximum belt width is 9/16"" when used with B bushings.

This Browning split-taper sheave is designed for use with split-taper cog belts that are .563"" - .848"" wide. The integral teeth on this sheave's outer diameter drive the belt and sheave assembly that is attached to it. The sheave rotates on an A, B or 5V bearing. This unit uses a B bushing, which has a width of .539"" and can be mounted on an opening with a maximum width of 1.105""

The Split Taper Sheave is designed for use with split taper belts and bands. Forged super alloy steel sheave, heat treated after hardening, giving ultimate tooth strength. White zinc plated, bronze bushing. 1-groove suitable for A, B or 5V belts or bands.
