The Browning Variable Pitch Sheave features a 1/4 in. bore and 1 groove, has a finished bore and is cast iron. This sheave can be used with 3L, 4L or A, 5L or B section belt.

Variable pitch sheaves are used to change the speed of a conveyor belt, or simply to improve its overall performance. They can be used on both power and non-power conveying applications.

A variable pitch sheave is designed to achieve a continuous variation of line speed over its range of adjustment. That is, the line speed at any point between one extreme and the other is constant and equal. This type of sheave may be used singly or in pairs, with the latter providing additional load capacity.
