The C6456508 - 54"WC SPST PRESSURE SWITCH is a part of the Pressure Regulator Assembly ^ which is a part of the Ice Maker System. This switch will allow for your refrigerator to make ice when water pressure or ice supply line is present. When your refrigerator needs to make ice, water enters the Pressure Regulator assy through tubing from the water supply line, then into the pump through the Water Inlet Valve where it fills up the pressure lines and ultimately back to the pressure switch where it closes an electrical circuit
