The Start/Run Capacitor is an optional charge item #3516468. This part is used to replace a faulty or defective Capacitor. The Start/Run Capacitor is located at the top of the condenser coil on the compressor side of the Refrigeration system.

This start/run capacitor was designed specifically for Delfield refrigerators. This is a direct replacement for the original equipment and has a 3-1/8" Outside Diameter x 2-7/8" Inside Diameter x 1-1/32" Thick with a 0.253" Copper Wire Lead.

To run the unit, the start/run capacitor is bolted to the compressor motor and screws directly into the main power line (hot). The start/run capacitor controls the initial surge of current to the compressor motor. After the motor builds up to its normal running speed, the start/run capacitor is not needed and it will gradually discharge itself of any remaining energy.
