Designed to be replaced every 8-12 years, this TXV valve ensures your gas furnace will be working at optimal levels for many years.

Throughout a heat pump, the outdoor coils circulate refrigerant. The indoor unit side of the heat pump contains a valve called a variable speed condensing unit (VSD). This handles the temperature changes needed for efficient cooling and heating operation. In some cases, these components can experience performance issues that can be traced to faulty TXV valves, eliminating this from the system will result in improved operation.

Our Carrier TXV valve is designed to replace the original Carrier part number CV-1332-4A. It is used on systems with three stages or more and does not require access to the attic for installation. It is capable of controlling up to ten indoor units, but can control as many as 13 indoor units if properly intermingled on the ductwork.

Electronic Variable Volume EqvALve (TXV) is the latest technology in air conditioning. It combines the ability to control temperature and humidity with an energy efficient design. The Carrier TXV systems operate more efficiently than the older system variable refrigerant flow (VRF), which gives customers more comfort at lower operating costs. The Carrier TXV technology is only found in Carrier Freedom Suite units, Freedom EVAP units, and the Furnace Air Handler units that are packaged with these products.

The valve body and flow control mechanism is housed in a single compact unit.
