Angle Service Valve
A special valve exclusively for Carrier brand heating and cooling equipment. Use this Angle Service Valve to drain refrigerant from the outdoor unit or furnace cabinet.
Get ready for your next job with help from the Carrier EP23LC090 Angle Service Valve. Designed to fit many carrier brand packaged gas furnaces, it allows you to quickly and easily adapt a heat exchanger or pump assembly for service. This durable angle valve features brass construction, replacement seats and o-rings for easy and complete installation, and brazed joints for superior strength.
The Carrier 297915 EP23LC090 Angle Service Valve is designed for use with Carrier's ECV (Economizer Control Valve) and FVC (Fan-Force Control Valve). The angled design allows access by equipment such as a test gauge or pressure meter.
With a 1/2" Nominal shut-off size and a flow range of 1 to 180 GPM at 90 PSI, this angle service valve features a thermoplastic body with stainless steel seat and bonnet, ball check with lead-in tube for quick installation.
The EP23LC090 is a 90-degree brass angle service valve that delivers CSA low lead and copper tubing up to 3/8" O.D. This valve features 4/16" NPT outlet ports and has a 2" x 3-1/4" oval annular reducing seat for correct mating with the majority of copper brass hose and fittings. Its deep groove design provides long life, high performance inflation of forklift tires, rubber bladders and other applications that require compressed air at 90 PSI or less.
The Carrier® EP23LC090 digital angle service valve is used for installation in a residential gas-air heat pump to limit the flow of refrigerant to the indoor fan coil and the outdoor compressor. It monitors a temperature signal and sends an electric signal to an outdoor unit to control the cooling or heating output.
The Carrier EP23LC090 is a 5/8 inch female elbow that is designed to fasten onto a vertical section of the piping system. The fitting is used with a refrigeration or air conditioning unit at an angle, to provide refrigerant fluid flow to a drain line or another angle service valve in the system.
