The circuit board controls all functions of the furnace, including blower speed, and temperature settings.

The Carrier part number 297460 circuit board is for furnaces. The status light on the furnace blinks 7 times and stays on continuously.  This is an indication that a problem has occurred with the Bryant/02 circuit board. The blower can stop working, or it may run slower than it did before, or it will continue to run even after the thermostat has been switched off. This board requires very little maintenance if any. It also has a built in diagnostic utility that only needs to be accessed once during set up of the furnace to verify proper operation.
