Moffat cooling fan part# M234460 is a 208/230v, 15 watt, 50/60hz, single phase, intermittent cooling fan for the M2300 series of heat exchangers.

The M234460 Cooling Fan comes with a 3-wire power harness and ground wire. It is intended to be used in 208-230V 50/60HZ electrical systems. It's a Thermally Protected PTC Heatsink® with two independent speeds of fan operation, controlled by an external thermistor attached to the motor inside the cooling fan's housing.

The M234460 Fan is from Mark Anson refrigeration. Cooling fans are used in various applications within the HVAC industry, but many times they are found in M2M applications like convenience stores or sometimes in freezers. This particular fan has 4 blades and a 4" to 10" cutout.

This is a standard replacement cooling fan that fits between the water heater and the electric service panel in Moffat water heaters. The electric cooling fan cools the hot water during operation of the water heater. If you have a burnt smell coming from your water heater or, it is not holding at least 160 degrees of heat after running for 15 minutes, then you may need a new cooling fan installed. This fan can also be used as an extra conservation measure by installing this fan in place of any of the gas burners. This will increase the efficiency of all 4 burners back to full operating performance.

The Cooling Fan is designed specifically for the Moffat C360-2. The Cooling Fan includes an on-off rocker switch, assembly hardware and two mounting clips.
