Deltana heavy duty surface bolts are installed with one screw at the fascia board (approximate depth of 1/2"). If door is 20" or less, two surface bolts are used. Surface bolts should not be used where a security strike is desired.

A deltana surface bolt and strike are intended to be the components of a complete mechanical door bolt system. The U-shaped body of the bolt is attached to the frame surrounding the door by means of matching screws or nails. A strike plate is then fastened to the door frame, with a hole for receiving the bolt.

The 24" Surface Bolt is pre-drilled to fit a 2 1/8" x 4" surface. The hex and star top have an iron-plated finish. Strike has one drive slot and protects bolt driven into door frame from being unscrewed.
